Packet Sniffer Software
Hello all,
Do any of you know of a good software based packet sniffer? I need to know what is going on with my network and I'm unable to get the people that sign my PO's to fork out 35K for a real one.
Thanks
SJ

I use one named jammer... it will tell you who may be scanning your ports and will submit a report to your isp if applicable.

Thanks for the post.
That's not what I'm looking for, I need something that I can grab data off of\going to my routers as well as network Monitoring.
Thanks

www.ndgsoftware.com
get the whole Netboy suite with packet sniffer monitor, lan monitor, web monitor, and geographical webpage locator, tells you where a website is located on the globe. does the job. Costs $1200 for the full deal and you can download a full copy trialware edition if you want.

Not to sound like a NetWare drone or anything, LANalyzer is the best product I've seen for packet sniffing. It has a lot of features and rings in at just under a grand.
Oh yes, and it works on non-NetWare networks as well. Basically anything with a cable.
