There is a computer when it is left on all night and it has a screen saver, in the morning the screen is black and won't come on. The customer said it didn't do this before we came in but I kind of doubt that. Also when he reboots it, it will hang at the win95 startup screen. The only changes made was that we added a network card. Could this be the problem? It is during the driver initialization that the computer hangs on boot which could be the network card but the screen saver thing I'm not too sure about.

Yes I have a customer with the same problems. Also, sometime is give errors with the nic. Disable the network and all works fine. The system has very limited airflow in the location they insist on keeping it, and I beleive the nic takes the system over or right to the limit of heat tolerance.
