    Angry Logitech Cordless Freedom Pro

I was just wondering if anyone has had a lot of problems with a logitech cordless freedom pro, keyboard and mouse. whats happening is that if i have them plugged into the USB port, as logitech reccomends then either the multimedia keys work, or the regular keyboard keys, but never at the same time. as well, i have them both into the Ps/2 ports at the moment, and i am getting the control program causeing errors in itself. Not to mention some weird errors, like when i click to bring up a context menu, windows beeps an error, non stop, like, ding ding ding, that kinda thing. and weird scrolling, but only in IE 6 and Kawa Pro 4.1, all other programs are fine. Also, it seems that sometimes the mouse just stops existing as far as the system is concerned. the hardware seems to be fine, as it works on another computer with no problems.

My computer is a Soyo 5EMA+ with the eteq chipset, a K6-2 500 (not oc'ed) an ATi Rage Fury 32 Mb, Diamond Monster 3D II, soundblaster live value, dlink DFE 538, 192 Mb RAM, WD 40 gig, and a burner and cdrom. i would really appreciate any insight that anyone can provide me, i am almost at my wits end here, BUT I LOVE THE KEYBOARD, i just wish it worked all the time lol!!

have not used that setup-- but have a MS intellemouse explorer-- which has the option for USB-- i used it for a while, but it locked up so much, and sometimes windows would boot with no mouse support--not to mention that you have no mouse when you boot your system into safe mode! went back to using it as a ps2 mouse--- i still cannot see any reason to setup a system with usb mouse/keyboard-- except for the ability to free up the IRQ's......

its not to free up irqs, its just cause thats the default option on it, and i have gone to soo many LAN parties that my ps2 port is a little loose, so i wanna use the usb port and save the ps2 port for when i really need it.

right now i am haveing no issues with it as i just "downgraded"(ya rite, upgrade is the more correct word) from Me to 98, and now its ok, although i still havent tried it on USB, but any comments suggestions would be appreciated
