NT & Network cards
I'm new in NT world, and I have a problem: installing NT Workstation (or Server), if PC has a network card, I could not install it, because after rebooting, NT gives me an error and suggests me to control system events.
1) When I install the Network card, I must give an IP address. Can I give any value or there is a default value? Pc is not connected, I must install it, and then my client will configure it.
2) Error could be associated to the fact that pc is not currently connected to a network?
I have tryed removing all protocols (TCP/IP etc.) and problem seems to disappear.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

Suggestions:
1. When setting up NT skip the network setup, There should be an option that say not connected to a network at this time.
2. Don't let NT search for your network card, tell it to select from list then have disk. To install the proper driver.
3. you can set defaut Ip of 10.1.10.1 subnet 255.255.0.0 (I think) or just tell it to use DHCP asigned. It will pause then tell you no DHCP found do you want future messages say NO.
4. Don't forget after all that to reinstall your latest Service Pak.
That should work.
