    Post question about Rambus memory

    Can you pair a single side 256mg pc800 rambus memory module with a double side 256mg pc800 rambus memory module? My guest is not but I am double checking.

    It was my understanding that as long as they were the same size then yes, but then again I havent had a whole lot of experience with RAMBUS

    ok thanks. This has been about the 4th computer that I have worked on that has this memory. And this has been the first on that gives a beep error code of three beeps. and of course I don't have any rambus memory instock.

    I have had mixed results doing this. Usually it works if they are the same brand, but sometimes not. Also, Intel boards usually won't do it. I won't do it to a customers box because of reliability.

    Pretty much a crapshoot.....
