External IDE Drivers
I have external freecom parralel CD rom drive which is perfect when you see a machine with a knackered cd rom or a laptop where they've lost it !
However, as a backup solution for customers data it would be handy to be able to put an ide harddrive in there and use it from a boot disk.
I have a caddy, I've got the drive but what drivers would I use ?
Help is much appreciated

I seen an Lpt HDD, and only problem is, it is S L O W. You should be able to modify the boot disk that came with the cd-rom drive to load the ide driver instead of the cd-rom

A parrallel port ZIP drive can get you out of a jam, too.

Thanks for the replies, I have already made a boot disk to access the cd rom from dos but would that access a Hard drive ?
If not where would I get a harddrive driver ?
