    Question excel crashes when sis5597/5598 video drivers are loaded

    "EXCEL caused a general protection fault in module GDI.EXE" So far I have been able to link it to the sis5597/5598 video driver. If I do not load the driver at start up I do not get the error in excel. I tried updating the drivers, but that didnt solve the problem. Any sugestions?

    Which version of Excel? And, are the service packs for that version installed? The drivers I have in my files for that video are dated 5/15/98 to 6/25/98 are yours newer or older?
