    Post am i missing something?

hey everyone , well i just got win2k pro and I have some crap that starts up when I boot into windows ( simple enough right? ) the problem is uhh....I can't seem to find the system configuration utility commonly found in the system tools in win9X.

Am I missing anything or am I not quite right in the head?

Its just like in NT from what I rember. Check Services in the control Panel and that should show you all the apps that start up with the machine. you can shut them down from there. Its been a while since I had w2k running on any of my machines, so this may not be 100% accurate.

I think so! Win2K Pro is built in NT Technology. So, it is really a lot different from Win9x. Another proble is some devices are also not compatible with it. I'm not actually sure but I think the contents of the start menu depends on the user group.

Yup it built on NT Technology, thought that makes no sense if you think about it - NT = New Technology, so it's built on New Technology Technology

BTW CD, welcome to the users group of Win2k

It is built on NT (new technology) so does that make it New Neew Technology, or New Technology Technology?
