    Question hdd info...

Does anybody know of a good sharewhare/freewhare program to find out HDD info? Specifially, HDD type, SN, etc. MHIDE used to be fairly good, but I need something to run in Win95 environment. Please... any leads would be good as inventory time is here!

you could always pull the HD out and look at it. 9 out of 10 times it'll have everything you want to know on it.

Don't know about other makes but the newer WD's have this on the diag. disk that comes with it. I believe it even shows the SN. Of course you have to boot to the disk and not run it from winders.

*The hd's I've installed are primarily Fujitsu, and the others are so old that WD hd's never came with any disks to my knowledge. (or my predecessor may have lost them).
*Taking out the hd's is not an option as I have over 150 machines to do in as little time as possible, with as little down time for the user as possible.
*I tried Syscheck, but found it to be very flaky in a Windows environment.
    Any other suggestions?

Just ran the Drives information module on my system and it seems to give all the information you're looking for.
