I saw one battle and desided that it dosen't come anywhere close to "Battlebots" There is just too much "WWF style" comentary and too many rules. Just let them tear each other apart, We don't need your rules.

I like Ahmed Zappa (At least that is who I think the bald guy was) but the whole premise is like drinking light beer or decaf coffee, YUCK. I like Battlebots and I like like Robot Wars even better (The House bots kick butt). The whole story is neat too. A guy creates Robot Wars then gets kicked out of his own creation and sued (and wins) when he tries to create another robot event. I believe he had something to do with Battlebots but don't quote me on that

I've got to go with BattleBots. The whole obstacle course is a poor idea. Are you going to design for combat or for obstacles? For what I've seen, the designs that work for one don't work as well for the other. BattleBots, on the other hand, is sheer metal carnage (on a good night, anyway).
