    Talking HD Utility

Do you know if there is a simple utility that can show Hd characteristics (RPM, cache etc.)?

    Cool

Spinrite is a great utility. Shawn turned me onto it awhile back. Not only will it do what you wanna do dude, it also recovers seemingly screwed hard drives. I've been able to recover and use several old drives that I thought were garbage can fillers. Check it out

Thanks for suggestion, but (I don't want to bother someone) but I read about Spinrite, and I was not able to find out a "trial version". There is one or I can only buy it? If so, do you know if there is something similar, but also with a trial version? Thank you very much!
