Depends on what kind of system you plan on going with. The basic dummy terminal design is just multiple stations hooked up to a server. The server takes care of all data storage and processing and the terminals are basically just monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

There are a ton of different setups and cabling options, so we'd need to know more about your setup to really help you any further.

Terminal Services, But i think you are looking more for Citrix depending on how old the computers are. But either way it is Monitor, keyboard, mouse, computer

The computers are 100Mhz 486DX with 1Gb of Hard drive space with 16MB of RAM.
Can they boot directly to the server or they need a remote boot disk??

It would be a lot easier and faster to
set this up with Linux than W2K, and you'd
get more from the machines. But if you
need to use W2K Server, it shouldn't be hard
to set up diskless terminals that boot over
a LAN or similar. Of course, that depends
on the boards and their BIOS's. If they're
too old to support Boot-on-LAN, then my
    suggestions are completely worthless.

Sorry, I don't think any of these have been
updated to cope with W2K yet. Still, the
    basic concepts are still there...

    It's scary to think about
    the fact that most people,
if they were stranded in the

    consider Windows Me...
