Chuckle...everyone seems to be a bit confused here...

I guess what is meant is pay $5 for this month, another 5 bucks in six months when you want to chase up the next batch of drivers etc.

If you do sign up for this site... beware the 6 month charge. Many internet sites charge you the initial amount and every month they charge you the monthly charge without you asking. Watch your credit card bills in 6 months, you may be charged again for membership, whether you want it or not.

If I didn't sell out, the site would have been gone two years ago when I sold, sell or fold, sell or fold, no amount of donations could have kept it going, unless... you all chipped in $30 a year, oh wait, 8 cents a day for convenience is too much, so I sold and now I have less headaches and I see my family, ya f'in hoo! You're telling ME that if you had a chance to make a milion bucks which would help your entire family, friends and charities, that you'd rather be a nice guy and help people and work eighteen hour days and not know your own kids, WOW, that sounds like a whole mess of fun cowboy, see you in the welfare line and divorce court where you can tell everyone else your big philanthropic story of being the DriverGuy, that and nickle will get you...well....a nickle.

Nextly, do you realize how many people visit this site every month, over 1 million unique visitors, that's means one milion different people and over four million visits per month by those 1 million plus people. So, for example, take the threads that are complaining about internet.com charging for the site, probably a couple hundred people ranting, most of them hardcore WinDrivers users, I love you all really but a couple hundred out of a million... WinDrivers will be around for a long time, trust me, the subscriptions are already a huge success.

wow very well said .. as another long time user of wd and remebering those days of the t1(s) .. how could one forget .. im not mad at you .. im mad at what alot of peopl ehave turned this place to ... some people use it for resources while others .. have been here abusing it ... as always i offered to help . i didnt have the money but as far as the time .. darren and myself many times would have helped you ... im sorry people are picking on you ... and im sorry the bills pilled up .. but there was help for you on the time issue .. i would have giving my all to help here .. its sad how money only talks

Thats what they expect you to pay T1 bills with though. Re-read his post, its wasn't just for money that he sold windrivers, it was also to have some type of personal life.

ohh i know .. i rember back then .. and him adding new t1s all the time .. but the point i was making is darren and myself and im sure several others pleded many times to help scott with things.. i know this was his bag .. but it grew way beyond him .. hell daren and me spent almost 24/7 here .. work to home we were always on and in person .. hell i bet i slept with my keyboard and mouse in hand .. Scott is one of the most highly respected people around the web he didnt need to use all the fancy junk and crap to make him respected .. he showed what the web needed .. shortcuts .. he did one hell of a job .. i support internet.com for some of their help as in bandwidth and thnigs ... but scott deserves all the credit .. he built and spent time making this site .. anyone can buy the food but its the one who cooks it makes the difference (there you go scott) and scott was the great chief .. im not complaining about charging for things .. but there was options from around then .. and people willing to help is my point

Whats done is done, lets end this and move on from all this shoulda/coulda/woulda/won't posts. I think it was one of the mods that said, the decision has been made, its final, nothing you can do about it here to sum it up.
