aspienum.vxd...what the??
Doing a new install on a laptop today, at boot up it says that this file is 'damaged'. I just loaded Win98 on it and was expecting some errors like this but not this one...
After digging trough the web for info on this, it looks like a CD-R file used by Adaptec...odd the only CD drive on this is a DVD. Anyone know where to get this .vxd so I can make the message go away and have a happy end user?

No luck with that, it looks for Adaptec software and since there are none installed it won't run the update. I only need the ASPIENUM.VXD file because the one installed is showing 0KB...
Blasted thing...it needs to go out tommorow...I could always remove it from the system.ini so the message doesn't show, but who knows what problems that might cause.

No luck on that page, all the links thet might of helped are broken...this is odd because this file is for adaptec products and this laptop has no adaptec items on it.
Unless for some reason the DVD player uses this file...I'll try re-loading the DVD drivers and see how that goes.
The clock is ticking

Glad I was able to help. Now about that beer...guess we'll have to meet at the border! Let's see, 1 American beer = 1.5 Canadian beers (based on our dollar)...sounds good to me!!!!
