    Post New forum suggestion

How about a swap-meet forum? Ferinstance, I'm currently looking for a monitor stand for a Sampo 511, and I'm sure someone has one or two lying around. Posting of warez and non-PC items would not be allowed, of course. What do you think?

Not easy to administer and leaves users open to unscrupulous dealings, i.e. goods not sent for monies recieved etc.

Good point. What if it's with the understanding that WinDrivers or the mods are in way responsible for what may go wrong?

I believe the law around here would still allow a suit that listed WinDrivers as a co-respondent for permitting the activity to use its resources....

And new users would still find some way to blame windrivers/the mods if they got screwed - and people would get screwed.

Let's stick to www.ebay.com or your local Buy-N-Sell newspaper for such activities. Those outfits do that exclusively, we help people solve computer related problems. Let's not create any more problems than we already have!

OK, you all make valid points. I withdraw my suggestion, and I'll also edit my post in Tech-To-Tech referring others to here to vote. You have my OK to close or delete this topic.

This is one thing I really like about these forums... reasonable dicussions WITHOUT all the other crap that goes down in other forums.
