Resolved [RESOLVED] New Case Mod for DocPC !!

DocPC recently asked me to create a case mod on an ATX case that wanted, so this thread will be a "work in progress" of the case mod I am currently working on. These pictures are the new case thats about to be transformed.....

More pictures coming soon as I work on it!! (I'll also make the pics smaller)

Ok, here is the second installment of pics, the case is coming along nicely, I have hit one roadblock, and that is the colors on the front of the case. I have a color scheme already painted, but I have another in mind. I won't be able to decide which way to paint it until the entire case has been painted up, but util then enjoy these pics!!

I should ahve the entire case painted and have a top coat applied....so its getting close!

Are you just using a Dremel to cut the case? Do you have any templates for cuts like fan holes?

I don't use a dremel tool, I actualy use a sabre saw to cut out the large holes, and I have a round steel toothed cutting tool for the fan holes, thats how they came out perfectly round.

That's one sweet mod for a plain-jane case.

How many drive bays does it have, internal..and how many cooling fans does it support?

Thanks for the comments...this case has really grown on me and I'm not sure if I can give this one up! (Just kidding Doc!! )

This particular case has 3 80mm fans installed into it, and it moves some air! This case has 3 5 1/4" drives, 2 3 1/2" drives, and 3 slots for harddrives, the inside is fairly roomy. I'm selling this one to DocPC for $250, which is an incredible
    deal for this case.

I used ordinary spray paint, a good brand, no cheapies stuff. But before I sprayed, I sanded, primed and them painted the case. It also depends on the look you want. If you want a semi-rough look like a stock case, then do less sanding, if you want a nice smooth look, sand with a very fine paper. (220 Grit) Most of all, be patient, you may have to spray a couple of coats, and let each coat dry completely. Good Luck!
