TEAC 46E Internal Notebook CDrom
Hiya,
I have:
EPS Technologies Notebook
Model:ARa (P133Mhz, 24MB Ram, 1GB HDD, FDD, TEAC 46E CDrom & Win95B)
I need: (a doctor - hehehe!)
CDrom won't recognize unless I run "detect new hardware" which adds a "Standard IDE/ESDI Hard Drive Controller" to the existing "National Semiconductor Dual PCI IDE Controller (RMM Support Only)" -- The Nat'l Semi controller exists with an exclamation point in "System Devices" -- ... after the Standard Controller adds itself to the list of controllers, I have to re-boot, at which time new primary and secondary IDE single fifo controllers are detected (each wanting a reboot, which I have to ignore or lose their detected status), at this point the "System Devices" shows 3 HD controllers - 1) the original Nat'l Semi (no longer bearing it's exclamation point), 2) a primary IDE single fifo, and 3) a secondary single fifo (both single fifo controllers appear installed properly)- The system now shows the CDrom but if I re-boot it goes back to square one with the original controller bearing it's exclamation point and no CDrom detected.
I do not posses the original setup disks. (Fresh format and install of customers OS)
Any suggestions short of a bounce test ???
Thankz....
The grace of God, thru the shed blood of His son Jesus, has brought me this far; and by His continued blessing, my business meets my needs and I continue to grow. Amen
