    Exclamation Remember THG's video? AMD bites back!!!!

    Now this is VERY interesting.

    AMD have released their own video to show how the Palomino copes with fan failure & HSF removal. I must admit though that they are using a board that SUPPORTS the Palomino's thermal sensor (unlike Tom Pabst's) so it can't really be held as a direct comparison.

    Very interesting though, especially as AMD have announced that they are ceasing production of the AMD76x chipset that has the monitoring support!!!!

    Lemme get this straight: Isn't the LED just an indicator light? I mean, the system has already shut itself down. There's no user intervention required, so the light only lets the user know something is wrong.

    I was too busy watching the LED to take any notice of teh screen

    AMD seems to be working a lot with nvidia on chipsets now..I think they'll be implementing this into nForce. And then VIA can pay X amount of dollars to implement it into their chipsets. and then the smaller guys like Sis and ALi will get a hold of it.

    and AMD are discontinuing this chipset? that doesnt make any sense if it works then why bin it??
