Hewlett Packard cd r/rw
Iam trying to copy a music cd from a regular cd in my pc to a cd/dw and the pc will freeze up while it is trying to down-load. Has any one else had this problem? My cd/rw is a hewlett packard IDE 4x4x24 and the cd is a 48x,s cd

What program are you using to rip the audio CD? I suggest CDEX available here: http://www.cdex.n3.net/

Sounds like a HP8200i series writer...try makin Image file and then write to a cd...almost sounds like the CD is protected and that is why your system freezes on it while reading it...might try a different audio cd and see if it does the same thing...BTW that writer is excellent with CloneCD...is on their prefered list. www.cdrinfo.com

You should use a CD-R disk and not a CD-RW disk, they are for data primarily.
I think that when you said CD-DW you meant CD-RW disk. Maybe I'm wrong , if so... sorry.
