[RESOLVED] EZ Cd 5 Platinum
When almost done recording the disc I get a blue screen and it says:
ADDRESS EB75A1C9 base at EB758000, DATESTAMP 3B55C3BA-CDRALW2K.SYS
I am using win2k as you can see. Anyone have and tips on how to cure this?

Have you downloaded all the updates from Roxio.com?

Yes I have, I currently reloaded as they said to because 5.0 and 2k have a problem. I will let ya know if their fix works.

Ok what ya do is install platinum but use the custom setup and DON'T install Take 2. After instal;l is done it will ask to reboot say NO. Then get the win2k patch from Roxio and install it. After that reboot. After I installed it this way I burned 38 discs in a row no problem.

Easy CD 5 has lots of compatibility problems. Their support page lists zip drives, 3 Com Network cards and Promise ATA 100 controllers. If win 2k won't finish loading... unplug the zip drive and burner.. should boot then. Also, you gotta have a disk in zip drive. After many hours of problems I uninstalled the program. It left numerous footprints in the registry and had to end up formating and starting over..

The only problem I found with 5 is that it did not associate .ico's. Discovered this morning when I went to burn the new Red Hat disks and the .ico's were generic windows icons.
Anyone know about this problem or a way around it? I had to reinstall Adaptec's 3 to burn the CD, 5 is so much nicer to use...

Platinum has a nice interface, I also managed to keep the functional part of EZCDC 4.0 installed as well, just in case.
