Resolved [RESOLVED] LX?EX BOARD and Celeron 500

I have a 333a Celeron in an LX/EX board. Being that the celeron 500 and 533(?) are still 66 mhz FSB can they be used in this board? I know it will in a bx etc. I am thinking of building a new comp, but with the rapid acceleration in chips speed Im trying to be more patient with the big dollar output and get a little boost now.

what make of board do you have? abit, asus, gigabyte, tyan. etc.

yes, some or most of any lx chipset based boards should support a celeron up to at least 500 mhz, but it also depends if you need the bios flashed for the board to properly recognize a newer celeron. but that depends on what board you have and how old the bios is on the board.
