    Post usb crahses win 98

    I've got a new scanner and when it is plugged into the usb port I get a fatal exception error OE at 0028:ffo1o306 in vxd usbhub(05) I don't have any driver conflicts and all the drivers seem to be up to date, any thoughts?

    how did you install the driver, some hardware requier that you first install the driver first before the hardware is installed.
    Was the USB enabled before Windows98 was installed?
    Windows98se updates the USB! how many devices is connected to the USB port?
    IF you do? dont use a USB NIC on the same port!
    Are you using a USB hub? is it self powered or external? Always should be External!
    Sorry but there is a lot of Varibles
