Cool Fry's Electronics is my favorite store

I sure did like the Fry's store in Irving, Tx (south Dallas) as it wasn't far from Ft. Worth to grab some network gear, hard drives (cheaper than anyone around and about the same on the net, except didn't pay for shipping and I can get it the same day. Far exceeded what I expected and far better than Best Buy or Comp USA. Now I just wish they'd put a store in Jackson, MS or Birmingham, AL so I wouldn't have to make a long drive when the time comes to stock up again.

Though I poke fun at them I do like Fry's Electronics. I have learned some basic rules when I go there:
    1. As with groceries make a list.
    2. Read as much documentation on the items you are looking to buy. Sometimes Fry's personnel are er...interesting.
    3. Be specific in what you want, don't be vague or general (good for any purchase).
    4. Be prepared for a myriad of choices, but focus on what you came in for!
    5. (In Tempe) Be prepared for a long and interesting check out experience!
    6. And I mean no disparagement here, it's an observation that both my wife & I have noted, if a young lady who looks like she dropped out of Maxim Magazine is your sales assistant do not expect any technical help, just enjoy the effort! (In all honesty the same could be said about the spear side too!)
I only post using 100% recycled electrons!!!

Stay on the bomb run, boys. I'm going to get them doors open if it hair lips everybody on Bear Creek.

Fry's sucks as far as I am concerned for there bad practices in the retesting and restocking areas , The Tech's Know SH%t from shine and If you see a part with a label on it saying Tested Good!
from there so called QC department do not be fooled as all they do is place a sticker on on the unit and put it in RTS (RETURN TO STOCK). (Yeah, still bad) I am guilty of the mistake of buying from them and it is much better to buy direct of from a vendor that will give you a genuine part! The down time with misleading ads of a Processor that runs on so in so board is a waste of time and a loss for profit.
