how to slow down DVD-R ?
Hey guys,
do you know how to slow down 10xDVD/40xCDROM drive ?
the DVD speed is OK, but the 40x CDROM speed makes a lot of noise when reading CD-ROMs and it's getting really annoying sometimes.
I also think that the spin down time is too long, I'm not sure how long though.
Any solutions ? hardware/software ?
thanks

Put extra screws. That would improve the situation.

Or put in a dedicated CDROM drive for reading CD's. Some DVD drives don't work well (as you've discovered) with other CD types.
