IE 6
Is there a way to set IE 6 to open full screen by default? Mine opens up in a "restore down" mode and it is frikin anoying. Thanks in advance for any input.

Interesting, mine always opens maximised. Has it always done it? I think IE5 had a quirk like this, is your IE6 a fresh install or has it gone over the top of IE5? If no-one else has an answer I'll see if I can find the IE5 info.

It's a fresh install. What it's actually doing is, that it used to start maximized, but I just bumped my task bar down a size. I used to have it double width, top for QuickLaunch...bottom for running programs. I got tired of losing the screen real estate, and shrunk it down to one line. Now, IE6 starts up like there is a second line of task bar down there and I have to "Restore Up" to get it to fill the whole screen.

I just tried it and all I did was full screen 2-3 browsers then closed them out and re-opened to see that they open as full screen. simple enough.

There is restore, minimize, and maximize. By default, Explorer will take the settings of the first window opened. i.e. Let's say the first IE window opened is maximized, then you open another window that maybe is maximized as well. Then you restore it making the window resizable. Then you close both windows. Then the next window that you open will be a maximized window because that was the original state of the originally opened window. This is true of all Explorer windows in all versions of Windows.
