    Unhappy Max Payne lock ups

    My nephew has installed Max Payne on his computer. The game runs fine but when exiting the PC locks up. I've downloaded and installed the latest patch but it has not helped. Any assistance would be appreciated. Background:
    Win98 SE
    256 meg Ram
    ATI Radeon 32 meg DDR VE
    Athlon 800
    ASUS K7V w/ onboard sound
    30 gig Maxtor HD

    Hmm sounds wierd but:

    Lockups when quitting game
    Is your copy of Max Payne locking up your computer when you quit it? If so, then do this, and you should be fine: Enter the Multimedia properties, change the playback & Recording device to game compatible and also reduce hardware acceleration for the sound card.
