    Unhappy AOL Socket

Ok, I have tried eveything I can think of and nothing works. I get an error when aol is signing on and gets to step 7 (checking password) and disconnects with the message "The socket is not connected.". I have never seen that message before and have no idea. Can someone please help me before I end up formating.

What os you running? If 9x make sure you have the latest version of dun (it's 1.3 if I'm not mistaken).

Try uninstalling and reinstalling DUN. Also try a new modem. Other than that, I wouldn't know much else, as whenever I see AOL, I run for cover!

It win98se I have changed modems - uninstalled AOL 6.0 and reinstalled two different times - I have deleted all dial up adapters and reinstalled(that includes the DUN) and have changed cables, I tried at his house and my shop, changed acsess numbers, I have deleted and reinstalled same modem, tried to update modem driver, no go, scan for virus, and much more that I can't think of. And I always get the same socket message.
