recovery console
hi all, i've been trying to install the recovery console with no luck. i've tried two different cd's and both times it launches a dos pop-up window then it closes and nothing else happens.
have rebooted f8 and checkec boot options to see if it installed but no go. any suggestions?
thanks

how did you try to install it ?
the right way is
insert win2k cdrom
type in start-> Run:
(cd-rom letter):\i386\winnt32.exe /cmdcons

condor, just the way you said. i was trying to use a dell recovery disc and it was no joy every time. lots of alert boxes about not being able to upgrade can't find this dll or that dll.
i used a none oem cd and it worked just fine.
thanks.
