[RESOLVED] CD burning after Cable Modem install
5 days ago I had a cable modem intalled by ATT and all was fine. Until I tried to burn a cd. Everything I have tried has lead to failure of burning the cd. It isn't buffer underrun because it never drops below 95%.
I am using adaptec ez cd creator 3.5c
During the install of the cable modem the guy did intall mtupatch98 on my system. I think it was a patch that optimized my system for a cable modem. I don't know if it would have any effect on the cd-rw drive.
ANy help please

hey man, what kind of drive is it ?
I too have a cble modem(roadrunner) and I started to have similar problems.
I realized that when I installed Zone alarm, I was being attacked by several different people a day!!!up to 20 times a dat!!
once I configured Zone Alarm to stop all these so called "hackers" all my problems went away.
I am guessing that when I was having problems installing from cd or burning to cd, someone was taking over my system resources and then I would get error messages from my burner..
justa thought.

Thanks for all the help guys. I got it fixed and all is well. It was a IRQ conflict that I had overlooked.
Again thanks for the help.
