Win2k Techs,
Our Win2k server (Dell PowerEdge 2450) recently crashed due to bad clusters on one of our hard disks. We got new hard drives and installed Win2k and our Tape software. Then we tried to restore our tape backups but got screwed up. After the resotre, we rebooted and the system didn't recognize any hard drives. We ended up with a bootable Winnt1 folder and a Winnt3 folder that had all the backup information we need. The OS loader shows two "Windows 2000 Server" options. One of them (Winnt1) boots fine, the other (Winnt3) comes back saying that there is no bootable hardware. Is there anyway to get the Winnt3 folder to become bootable? Has anyone had experience in restoring from tapes on Win2k? Even now when we go into the Restore Console and try to repair, it doesn't recognize any hard disks.
Thanks.
