    Post Lan Problem

    Okay here it is, this was a question passed on to me that I could not figure out, a friend of mine has PDC hooked up to a lan split by a router, the workstations on side one of the lan can see the other side and visa versa, but the pdc can only see one side and not the other workstations on the other side of the router, he imported the lmhost file to the server and still nothing, any help would be great.

    Ok, i'm going out on a limb here but if he's running win2k as a DC then he should have active directory installed....assuming that the DC or PDC whichever you prefer is also acting as the dhcp server or are the IP's assigned statically? If he has active directory installed then he also has DNS installed which would eliminate the need for the lmhosts files....is he also running a WINS server? what are his IP address ranges? Is he running the server in native mode or mixed mode?
