Post CDR Software that will work with W2K

Do any of you know of cd burnning software that will work under W2K? Adaptec CD Creater brought the BSOD. I checked there web sight (Adaptec's) and a patch or update is not due out until end of march.

    Thanks

I read on the HP web site that the Adaptec software for Windows 2000 will be released on the 15th March.

Did you have the "blow out" on the USB ports when you loaded an old version of the software ? That's what happened with ours and so we have decided to wait for the new software.

I didn't see the full effects of what happened besides the BSOD. (Thank goodness for W2K repair options) I was just doing some software testing on my test box before I jump in and load W2K on my production box.

What version of cd creator are you using? I am running 4.01 on my win2k box without trouble. I have also had success with cdrwin 3.7f.

Both 4.0 and 4.01 are working perfectly.
    What's your system's configuration anyway?

    System:
PII 350,128mb Asus P2b mb, Plexwriter 8/20 connected to a Adaptec 2906 SCSI Controller, Elsa Video card. NT4.0 sp5

I am using CD creator 3.5b. I haven't tried the newer 4.x versions yet, but from your posts it sounds like it will work.

    Hi,

I've just downloaded Nero 4.083 (I think .. it's the latest version) from www.ahead.com and it works a treat with Windows2000.

The only issue I have is that it sometimes really slows everything down so if, for instance, I click on Next after the initial Wizrad screen it'll take about 30 seconds for it to move onto the next page. However, it only does this sometimes so I guess it's just because it's an early release.

I can't do DVD-CD-Writer (Hitachi 8x DVD and Creative 8x Re-Writer) copying anymore .. it says that my drive isn't fast enough but the same hardware setup worked fine under Windows98.

I am trying to use CDRWin 3.7e in MSWIN 2000, The ASPI manager won't let the Panasonic SCSI Drive be found. When I click on My Computer, I can see the SCSI Drives and read the contents. It used to work fine with MSWIN 95-98.

Easy CD Creator 4.0 with or without update works great.
