How can I stop I.E. from resizing on it's own?
I get so pissed off when you come into some websites, and they, or the ads they use, resize my Internet Eplorer browser window. I often use a window 75% the size of my screen, and when I come across these sites, they Maximize my browser window! I DON'T LIKE THAT!!
Does anyone know how to prevent this? Please let me know.

I would like to know how to do that as well. I feel it's an invasion of my own PC when adds pop up, windows resize or utilities just install temselves with out asking you (like the evil Gator ware). No wouldn't it be nice if M$ gave you that choice (and pigs will fly)

DJ_Specs,
I don't know how to stop the window resizing, sorry.
J_Man,
If you go into Tools | Internet Options and disable the two check boxes "Enable Install on demand" then this should stop apps loading and installing before asking you. I think!
Try it and see, best of luck.

I haven't actually tried this, but I believe if you disable the browser from running javascript (in internet options of IE), then that might help. Although then you'd be missing out on alot of cool stuff. But javascript embedded in the HTML is what does that. I had on my website for awhile until I got annoyed by it and removed it. What's a real pain is when they enlarge into Kiosk mode. Then you've got to alt-f4 to close the window.

Ya it sucks, I really wish we could get someone who knows exactly how to stop it! Somebody who makes webpages should know. I recently went to upgrade my Shockwave Flash player, and on thier website the have those damn popups that enlarge your whole screen!
