Error when installing
I built a celeron 333 AT machine from salvaged parts (everything pulled out of bins at work !!!!) and have been trying to install win2k on it. It gets through the initial file copy process, and then hangs at the reboot.
When I say it hangs, it reboots, finds the CD drive, quickly tells me to press a key to boot from the CD, and then immediately displays the letters LI below the message.
I have tried it with and without the cd in during the reboot, and get the same result. If I manage to press a key fast enough, to boot from cd, it starts the whole install process again.
Any idea's what's going on ???

Have you checked all of the hardware to be sure it's on the W2K HCL?

Got it sorted - I had installed Red Hat on it for a couple of days, and this had affected the master boot record - did a fdisc /mbr from the boot floppy, and it then installed fine.
Thanks for the advise though.
