Start --> Documents
Every so often the document history on my Windows 2000 machine comes up empty. The day before it'll be full, and the next, gone. Anyone have an idea? Thanks,

Do you shut down every night. If so, there's probably a setting that clears your Documents every time you start up.

Do you have any kind of "tweaking" software installed? Some will clear out the recent documents folder as part of a "stealth" sweep of the profile to keep others from seeing your history.
Or, is it just an off-the-shelf standard installation of 2000?

I don't have Tweak UI, or any thing like it really. Could it be some setting somewhere for expiry of folder items?

Hmmm, the problem seems to be back again. It seems to randomly occur or something. I'd still be interested in hearing anyone's ideas. Is there any way to protect anything from being deleted from that key in the registry?
