Disable VBS Scripting
Anyone know how to disable VBS scrpting in W2k Pro?
Got users that just can't resist those atachments!

Add a message rule into the email client to refuse any attachement what has a vbs or shs extansion.

Finally, somebody here has come to their senses! Have I got the tool for you my friend: http://www.cerberus-infosec.co.uk/vf.exe
Download this baby and call it from your login script. It will strip all the VBS extensions from the registry. So the next time they double click on a VBS attachment, and their virus scanner doesn't pick it up first, it will open harmlessly in Notepad. Enjoy!

MacGuyver is right about that. You can also use X-teq to disable the autorun for vbs and java scripts. You can get it here

Thanks for the input! I kind of like the e-mail rule thing! Simple, but functional!
