Win2k Server Logging
My boss told me today that we need to start logging when/who people log on and off our system and also what files they copy when they are on. I have no clue how to do this... any ideas?
My system is Win2k Server. Thanks, Ian.

I believe the setting would be in System Events under Securities.

That is definitely where you view the security logs but to enable it here is what you do.Keep in mind this is for Win2K Pro The server edition may vary slightly but I am not sure.
go to control panel and then open administrative tools, open the security icon and then go to local policies and from there you can enable auditing in logon events and account logon events.

you need to log logon/logoff activity and if you want to monitor file access you need to enable logging of objects. monitoring objects will turn your server into a slug.
