[RESOLVED] CDROM and floppy not working.
Both of these devices show up in Windows Explorer, but neither work.
CD Error: A device attached to the system is not functioning
Floppy error:
The device is not ready
Both have discs in, both have the default windows drivers. Suppliers drivers will not install due to Windows bitchiness
Win 98 first edition installed on a Celeron 400 with 64 meg RAM
CD is a LITE-ON LTN-382 40 x CDROM.
All cables have been checked.

#1 Be sure the floppy works, try to boot to it or try it in another machine.
#2 Search the registry for a key called "noide" if you find it delete it and restart. Also is there a yellow mark next to either of the IDE controllers in dev man? Boot to safe mode and remove all cdroms from dev man, reboot. Then try removing cdrom and secondary ide controller.
