Event viewer
Is is possible to run event viewer remotely on a 98 machine, or will it only work remotely to 2k??

?!? You mean view events and manage systems remotely with Win 98? No. Simple answer. You can only use Win 2k and Win NT systems to view/manage remotely. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I mean use a win2k machine to view events on a remote win98 machine !!!

I think there is a way, cuz win2k checks for remote services on other comps when you try to access shared files, but I would have no knowledge about how to do it. You might ask <a href="http://www.microsoft.com>microsoft</a> how.

AFAIK, Win9x doesn't keep an event log as Win2k does. I really don't think that it's possible to view something that isn't there.
