Spoolsv.exe locking up machine
The machine in question is our IT managers and whenever he tries to print something, the machine locks up. You can't even load up the printers window it hangs, usually clicking on printer in control panel has no effect at all. I have noticed that stopping the Print Spool from services allows access to the printers from control panel, but no changes can be made until Print Spool is resumed. I can resume the print spool ok and start adding a new network printer but just before it usually prompts for drivers, it locks up again. Spoolsv.exe starts taking over CPU resources (Usually sits around 30%, before jumping to 99%). Any ideas with this one?
