Installer starting when Word 2002 is started?
First off i want to appologize for not giving complete information, i will provide that as i can obtain it. I am at work, and have been having a problem with Word 2002 for the last few days on my home pc, and have not had the cance to investigate it till now.
I am using Windows XP Pro, with Office XP pro and have had no issue for the last month or so.
The last 2 days, when i start Word, i get a message that tells me that the windows installer needs to run-- it then gives an error saying it cannot lovate a certain file (seems associated with office xp in some way, but i did not write it down- again, i appologize and will provide more information later)
Then it goes into Word, and works fine.
Anyone run into this and know what the cause and or solution is? I will most likely just uninsatl and reinstall, but would rather not if it is not needed.
I use NAV 2002, and have most current definitions- did a fulls can and eliminated possible virus infection from the equation.
Thanks---
Joe

Turns out that the installer was running becuase i had installed the microsoft plus pack, and the speach to text module was needing to install some things from the Office XP cd in order to work properly. It would have ben nice if the error said something helpful like, "Please insert your Office XP CD now..." But hey, that would be too easy.
