changing default font
how do you change the default font from size 10 to 12?

I don't know if office XP works the same way as 2k, but it is worth trying. Open a blank document, set the font size you like, then select page setup, I think it is in File menu, then click Default. You whould get a warning telling you that this will affect all future documents based on the template you are saving to. Close the document. That should be it.

I know there is an easy way, but I can't find it right now, so here is the hard way:
Go into options and Click the save tab.
Check the box that says "Prompt to save Normal template".
Click OK, then close word.
It will ask you if you want to save the normal template, click yes.
That should do it for ya.
