Error during setup on a win95 computer for novell...
Okay guys, I recieve an error message during the process of installing Novell Client 3.3
on a win95 machine. The error messsage is "Can not finish setup because nwsetup.ini may be incorrect or corrupted." During the installation though, the client asks for the win95 cd, I'd put that in the cd-rom, and it copies files up untill the error messsage.
thanks all,

Do you have the correct ini file for that client version? May sound silly but if you un zipped the downloaded file to the same directory as the old client the ini file may or may not have been written correctly, is this the first time that you have installed that copy of 3.3?

No, I've been installing 3.3 for the longest. Today is the first time I got this message. Can you specify what you mean about the .INI a little more clearly?
thanks,

Make sure the Windows 95 cd you're trying to use is the same version as the one installed on the machine. Just a thought.

Try removing the Novell client in the Network Properties/Configuration and restarting the computer. Then try installing it again if the same problem occurs check if the Novell Client drivers are correct and like what our TechGod frien MacGyver said check if the version of Win95 is the same.

When you uninstall Client use the Unc32 driver that came with the download. Reboot and then reinstall. I've had previous problems with letting the install removeing the client. After I ran Unc32 and reinstall the problem went away.
