IP Stacks
can anybody tell me how to rebuild or fix IP Stacks. We cant ping our server from a workstation it comes up with "request timed out " but we can see everything on the sever all the drives all the programs like its running fine but the HOSTS file is creating an error log stating WINSOCKS connection()failed . then we trced to the hosts file not being able to see our sever because or the ip address problem if anyone has seen this problem let me know .also i've checked the novell web site with no help

If you're talking about all the workstations in an office not being able to connect, then it's one of two things: the server is not configured properly, or the client32 software hasn't been installed with the IP protocol or is severly outdated. I would try to update the client software if you haven't already done so, BUT NOT until you have applied the latest service packs to your server.
What version of Netware are you running? Have you used INETCFG to properly setup things? Are the IP addresses set in AUTOEXEC.NCF?
