    Post Groupwise 5.5 Help Needed

Ok, I have checked the Novell site and they said to uninstall/reinstall client (did no good)....they also said there were corrupt files in C:\Users\Default (NT Machine)...this one is Win2k OS and there is no file like that, the closest I found was under the profiles a "default" tried doing that and it did no good.....

Anyway, here is the error: An invalid user word list was encounterd. Spell Checker will ignore it. (hit ok then this comes up) Failed to create spell checking session.

This happens when the auto spell check is on. I turn it off and needless to say it is ok, but she really wants it on...my thoughts? Purchase a good dictionary?

Anyway...any help would be greatly appreciated.
Failure is not an option -- its a "feature" of Windows.

Mama never told me geekhood was gonna be like this....

The setting for where the user word list is stored is in the registry: HKCU\Software\Novell\User Word List\6.1\US\User World List 0 on my work PC. By default, there are four user word lists stored in my Windows 95 directory. (*.UWL) My guess is: because you're using W2K, the Windows directory is likely protected, so either you have to install as an admin or give the user rights to access those files.

Can you start a new email, then manually start the spell checker? Unfortunately this is the only way to set the spell checker options.

She is an admin of the local machine, so that shouldn't be the problem (I will double check it).

I believe I did try it manually as well, same thing....(I will try again, this was last week, and with my memory, well enough said) ......Thanks for your insight...I will reply more on this tomorrow.....

Download the groupwise cleaning agent from novell and run that. Then reinstall groupwise and see what happens.
