    Question LCD Screens?

Is it true that using Windex on a LCD screen like a laptop or flat panel will make it hazy over time?

I havent actually seen it but I have heard the same thing, and thats what Toshiba states. I have found that using the foam packing material (not the peanuts) cleans lcds pretty good.

Regular glass cleaners like Windex are likely to have ammonia and uncertain alcohols in them. The anti-glare treatments on some desktop screens are likely to be affected by them too. Optical cleaners produced for camera & spectacle lenses I think should be safe.

call me nuts but I always take a damp washcloth, just damp, not dripping (gotta wring it out) and wipe down the screen. works fine.

I just do what I do to my glasses!!! Breath on the screen then wipe off with lint free cloth. Works a charm (even on sticky toddler fingerprints!!!)
