Games Close to Desktop
I have a clean install of Win Me (not upgrade). A Radeon 32mb DDR video card with the latest drivers. When I attemp to play games they all close to desktop. I have all of the default settings for ME as far as hardware acceleration. Any Ideas?

You could look for the game updates/patches to see if they help.

Check your disk space. My brother just spent three days trying to get Quake II to run on his P200, and in the end, it turned out that the problem was that he only had ~50 megs of space left after installing everything.

If the game allows it, choose a software emulation instead of hardware and see if that makes a difference. It did for me... although I'm still trying to figure out why they quit to the desktop if I run them in hardware mode.

Set the game to its lowest resolution and untick all the settings for shadows etc, ensure you have all the updated drivers for your card and have downloaded the lataet 3d hardware driver.

Try this little utility called Goldmemory, it will test the compatability/stability of the memory your using with your motherboard.

How you partitioned your HD? I wonder, not certain, whether W2k and ME are not set to work totally blind about one another.
Are your games set to play under ME or W2k? This function of the installation of the game software. If you run your game application under ME you probably might turn off all automatic checking and upgrading functions. This is something worth looking at.
Another thing, what other sofware is running in the background? This could be the culprit, or may be yet another one.

I am running Win Me on a 10gig partion on the 30gig. and Win2k is on The Raid. They are blind of each other I just change my Bios to boot to either OS. Is that good or bad. I thought it would be esier to uninstall one or the other?
I have an Enlight 300w PS
I do have my modem in the slot next to AGP but I will move it to see if that helps. Why does it matter?
I have tryed running games under both OSs with nothing running in background.
I ran the Memory Check and it passed. I also used DocMem tester and It passed that as well.

I think I might have finally fixed this problem.
Just by luck I took out my Ram cleaned the contacts with a pencil eraser and I finally played Black & White for over 10min without a crash. I acually played for 3hours without a problem. Hopefully this solved it?
I think it was 3D Prophet II's sugestion that got me thinking about the Ram. Even thought it passed the Memory checker tests.
Now I think I might change my signature? Thanks For Everyones Help!
