[RESOLVED] Is it possible to......
Can I partition my hard drive and install win ME on it more than once. I am want to be able to boot up and load minimal software for times when I am burning CD's.

instead of that hit CTRL ALT DELETE and remove the programs not in use before Burning.
Optimal performance for a comp can be acheived by having no more that 4 icon in the task bar.

What is the minimum that I need to leave running in the CTRL-ALT-DELETE window when I do it that way.

leave iexplorer and task manger and the one for your burning software. If your totally not sure of something leave it too. but you should be safe with just the above mentioned.

if i remember right (i,m not on a 9x machine at the moment) ,,,for burning - or defrag for that matter , i think systay and explorer are the bare minimum ,,also turn off s/saver
not argueing Danimal,,,,just brings back memories

I think this might be easier, use the system configuration utility, (msconfig.exe), un-check what ever you don't need to run, than close it and re-boot..
