dll file
when ever i use i.e 5 i get an error message saying "Iexplore has caused an error in HOOKDLL.DLL Iexplore will now close If you continue to experience problems try restarting your computer.
does anyone know what this means can a solution to the problem would be greatfully recieved <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

this is the only thing I could find on hook.dll,it found one thing if you look and click towards the bottom.

quade, I noticed you typed hookdll.dll for the file name. If that's what is really showing up, then it may be a virus. I don't have time to investigate now, but just a thought.

try the IE repair tool in system configuration Utility in System tools. that's for Win 98 might be the same For ME
