[With a little note about older Norton AV causing them.] It also has links on the page for other error messages...
VMM, if I remember correctly, is a virtual memory manager error.
Lastly, there are serious issues with reinstalls of ME...it's somewhere in the KB...I can't remember what it's called. [The error links on the above page should point to them eventually!]

Hint: Format and install Windows 2000 or XP. ME is crap...everyone knows it...so don't try to hold onto an OS that isn't worth the CD it was burned on.

Was the system working fine before you installed the new VIA drivers? Try booting to safe mode and uninstalling them if that doesn't work, try a system restore.
As for people dogging ME, you're entitled to your opinion, but if you hate ME, stay out of the WinME forum!!

I'll third that! I'm not a huge ME supporter, but I do use it on one of my PC's at home and it's a fine OS. Nothing wrong with it.

Do I hear a 4TH....yep . I avoided it for quite a long time because of all the noise about it being bad , but as best I can tell , it runs just fine with newer hardware . I can't find any major problem with it. Anyhow , have you tried a newer version of the 4 in 1 , I think its up to version 34 now , and also install the VIA USB filter patch.
